The Problem
Create an innovative solution for real time monitoring in clinics, offering insights into chair utilization and treatment progress. The challenge is to determine the number of stations in use, available, and scheduled for each facility and extend this monitoring to multiple facilities. The end goals is to detect completed treatments, anomalies in treatment times or terminations, and identify unused stations. Additionally, provide roll-up statistics for facilities, regions, and the total network of clinics.
In Center Data
A longstanding goal of DaVita’s is to better connect patient treatment with care team providers in real time. Over the past years, DaVita has invested resources into potential solutions to enhance the patient-provider relationship with real time data.
Viewing My Clinics
The user can easily view the clinics relevant to them upon opening the page. This view provides an easy to understand picture of what’s happening in their clinics in real time.
Viewing a Single Clinic
Depending on the care provider’s schedule, they can choose to view clinics on the individual level, information showing occupancy and treatment times are specific to that clinic. This helps the care provider understand what is currently happening & better prepares them for what issues may need to be addressed first.
Seeing the Big Picture
The user is guided through a step by step process to input & refine content that will appear on DaVita’s desktop and mobile applications. The initial page prompts the user to input specific values corresponding to OneView’s cards.
Anomalous Treatment Times
Providers in the facility want to make sure they are aware of patients with anomalous treatment times, which may pose major health risks. They can see these treatment times on the dashboard views or alerted via Dynamic Island.
Results
The OneView mobile team is implementing components from this project via SwiftUI, representing a major change in the organization’s approach to building on iOS.
