Content Architecture

My goal was to develop a foundational architecture that allowed the product & engineering teams to build upon. To deliver this, my aim was to create a strategy that comprises of a clear & intuitive way to find content, develop a deeper understanding of our users, and is scalable & stable to manage over time.

Getting Started

I embarked on a comprehensive discovery process by developing an initial mind map of all initial possibilities. After that, I broke the brainstorming components into distinct categories with definitions, examples, and pros/cons for each section. In sum, this created the initial ‘content’ part of the project. Then, I worked with the product & engineering team to compare the ‘future state’ of our content architecture to our existing application’s content.

Sparking UI Design

I redesigned our mobile application’s home screen, implementing the architectural concepts I created earlier in the project. I added the architectural concepts from the beginning stages into the ‘Admin UI’ portal, which controls & defines parameters for content which appears on the mobile and desktop applications. Together, these are the UX & engineering foundations for DaVita Digital Next Platform’s pursuit of additional revenue.

Results

This project was widely lauded by various teams within the organization.
